cyl 3 miss fire in a cavaler

well as it says. my moms cavalier has a cyl 3 miss fire. i changed the plugs and wires and it still runs like crap. the old cyl 3 plug wire fell apart in my hand, so with the new wire i don't know why it is still giving me the code and not runing well. any one have any other ideas.

It might help those 'in the know' to know what year it is,etc., ya' think?

ok it is a 99.

Pull #3 plug again and take a look at it. Also a compression check seems in order.

On some occasions I have had a piece of carbon fouling get caught between the electrods of a new plug. There may be so much crap in that
3 cylinder from running so bad that a piece could have done like I said.
