the plan is to use a universal mount since the body lift there is no place to put tow hooks so i want to put several gussets behind the lip to strangthen it up and i want to weld on some D-hooks on the front of the lip.will this work

i was gonna say you can use S-10 Blazer tow hooks with the bodylift but since you wanna put the hidden winch setup then yeah I'd go with two D-rings. Just make sure that winch mount is mounted really good (welded and bolted).

I was going to use the blazer hooks but I have not seen one picture on this site with it actually done, I just don't see them working for sport tracs there is know way to instal them with out cuting the cover..anyway do you think that lip will be able to support weight with gusseting

I've seen the Blazer hooks on a BL'd ST and EX, no cutting neccessary the hooks have a upward angle to bring it up ove rthe bumper cover. If anything weld the d-rings as far toward the bottom plate as possible and still well in gussets.

do you possibly have a link to pics of the hooks installed on st's i cant seem to find any

I think I saw atleast one of the pictures on here somwhere. I'll try and dig up a picture from somewhere but if you're doing the winch mount then you won't have the opening for them anymore.

Couldn't find any pictures of them mounted but do a searsh on here, someone else did the same thing.
