I am new so please bear with me. I have used search for like a hour trying to find a post with this info but couldn't. So here is the ? I have a 93 xlt 4 door 4x4 , with axle code D1 (3.27 ls) I am going to swap gears to 4.56's I have read in many post that there is a cutoff in the D35 on gear size will I need a new carrier? Also I have to look all over the place to find the D1 axle code its not on most list is it uncommon?
Thanks.
The D35 carrier you have in most cases only goes to 3.73's. I have heard of some that will work beyond that. Call Randy's Ring and Pinion for an exact answer...
