Dallas, Tx. run was great!

Where might I find the pictures of everyone out at 360 last Saturday. I would like to see them have looked thru the web site and can't seem to locate them or is it just that they have not been posted yet.As I said I to have an Explorer,But mine is set up for street use as I am going to use it to tow my 1964 1/2 Mustang to shows when I am finished with it. Also I may tow the Jeep to places like Clayton,Ok or Hot Springs when we do those runs.

It sounds like everyone had a great time. Cannot wait to see the pics. I was thinking of making a sticker that says:

“That Jeep thing… I don’t understand? Nor want to.”

What do ya think. Any suggestions.

Oh that mud colored one! By the end of the run everyone looked mud colored. I have to give an extra thanks for the guys in the Jeep club. You guys helped out so much. We went out there basically w/ no experience and you guys (and girl) helped out alot. I have never seen so many people get together and be so willing to help one another out. It was alot of fun. Rob? Did you get my e-mail? Let me know when you are going to the shop and we can meet there! I have some things that I could talk to them about while we are there. GJerrett--- How are things going w/ the Exploder? I plan on taking care of some of my repairs this weekend.

302Jeeper: Did you get the email from Rob with his digital pics a couple of weeks ago?

I just got my roll developed from 360 and Clayton. I really don't have any very good pics from 360, but I can send in a few. I got one of our three Explorers at the bottom of Telephone Hill and another one of the entire group down on the river, but no pics of any vehicles taking on any of the obstacles! I DO have one of that yahoo who parked his Ranger 4x4 vertically on the creek embankment though! That's a good one!

Really, this was my first real wheelin' trip, I was pretty busy just driving, and I'm not much of a photographer anyway. I did a much better job at Clayton taking pics and I figured out how to take better ones on my next trip. Guess I'm in a learning curve. Dead Link Removed

Brian, I answered your other post asking for writreup info and am still waiting on your email to me so I can finish it off, so I'm waiting on YOU!

Yes I got those pictures,Thanks to everyone who took the pictures. Heard you all had a wild time last weekend.Sounds like I missed one hell of a time. I still would'nt mind seeing those pictures of the Ranger.

Here we go....

With a little help from three winches, a couple dozen onlooker/helpers, and an over an hour of work, he was rescued to go crash again, which he promptly did by rolling it over twice going down a cliff about an hour later.

Here's a group shot at the river:

302Jeeper, are you in that picure somewhere?

Here's Brian Green figuring out that he's about to have to get muddy if he wants "Trckmagic" to get a strap out of that hole.

photo.jpg

There's a picure of me too in the same situation, but I thought I'd post Brian instead! Dead Link Removed

And 302Jeeper, here's a picture of Anthony piloting "Thumper" up Moss Rock. What an awesome rig. I watched him all afternoon --after he joined us-- doing his stuff. I guess we should be impressed though 'cause I sure can't figure out how to spend $eight grand just on axles.......

Three TExplorers together on their first fourwheelin' trip. The view of Brian's Trkmagic is blocked somewhat by a J**per blowing his nose....

Adios!

No,unfortunately I am not in that picture as I had to leave earlier before that point after some clean up at telephone pole hill. right after Steve finished pulling up the green Exploder, and just before the Eddie Bauer was pulled to safety. If I knew how to post a picture here I would post a picture of the 302 Jeeper.

GJerrett. I will get you back on the mud hole picture! The pictures look great. Sorry I havent had a chance to get a story going, but I have been so busy with my new job (trying to pay for these trucks) Rick already has all the photos, so anyone who wants to do a short write up on how the trip got started and how much fun we had just send it to Ricks email and he will post a feature for all Explorer owners to view. It will be great! I love my new Sport Trac!

The next big run we are gearing up for is the Rosser Rush in Hot Springs,Arkansas the weekend of the 7th to 9th of April.Alot of the guys are rebuilding and making some other modifications.I myself am trying to get the new clutch installed along with 4.10 gears and a trac-loc for the rear.

I went back to 360 yesterday. Thumper had emailed that we would meet at 10:00-10:30 but he wasn't able to make it. We waited until 11:00 and took off. I was the only one that had been out there a few times and was designated the trail boss. I eneded up leading some interesting J**ps including an old CJ-5 beater towed out there for its maiden voyage and a gorgeous 2000 Grand Cherokee with BGF AT ko's, ConFerr safari rack, and top rack-mounted spare. I can't claim to be the only nice new vehicle out there anymore.

I made it up Moss Rock! Dead Link Removed None of the J**ps would attempt it. Pictures forthcoming. I somehow inexplicably managed to surgically remove my right fog lamp and rip it right out of my bumper. Dead Link Removed I remember no front hit and have no idea how it happened, unless an exposed horizontal tree root speared it or something like that. The lamp isn't even scratched but now I have to replace that plastichrome mounting on the right bottom front bumper.

I am on a first name basis with the local Ford Parts Mgr now.

Gearald, We missed you at 360. I had a friend drive his Jeep down from Tulsa and wanted to hit 360. I called mark and off we went. We got there about 1 ish. That first creek crossing was a little unnerving for my top heavy rig. The second creek crossing was a bear. Mark buried his Jeep in 2' of soft muck. I attempted going straight across instead of driving down the creek and the tree where the soft stuff was. I kept hitting on the front diff so I had to go through the soft stuff and take a strap. Thank God I hooked up the strap before I drove into the water ( Mud & muck ).

Moss Rock was a blast, I took the second line this time. A little harder ( Not Thumpers line ) and hooked to the right of the tree at the top. LS rear really helps.

Had a blast and got very off camber more than once.

Clayton on the 22nd?

I love the lift kit. It rides better than new, ( Of course with 164K miles I don't remeber new ). I need 33's on it now. Pictures are being developed and then need to be scanned. I'll post when I have them.
