Damn autozone employee!

i got my silverstars last week at autozone, only had 2 9007's left though. i look at the bulbs, ones bluish tint and the other purplish. i ask the employee will it make a difference, he says it shouldnt, i get them , install them and now if you look closely you see one headlight with blue tint the other with purple. can i return the purple to get another blue? :fire:







i guess its partially my fault for being so stupid

Hmm... definitely stick with your premonitions haha. On a side note, I think the folks at AutoZone (less this dude) are some of the nicest of all AutoParts places. We have A&A (owned by former Dragster Joe Amato), Pep Boys, and so on, but the folks at AutoZone always seem very friendly and willing to help. Definitely a classy operation in my opinion.

how do the purple one's look other than not matching the blue one. is it a deep purple or just a hint of purple like the hid's on bmws, mercedes, lexus.?

DUDE! I thought I was crazy when I noticed there were two different colors, now I know I'm not! I was standing in line, I look down, and one of the bulbs seems to have a purplish tint. Luckily, I caught this right away and I went back and got matching bulbs. It sucks that they didn't have anymore when you went. It's sort of weird that Sylvania makes them mismatched......

well to be honest with you, i really like the purple its just a hint. i ant the blue though bc it will match my hyperwhite interior bulbs better if you like directly in to the light you cant notice the diff with the blue and purple( dont recommend doing for more than a second bc you will see dots LOL) yeah hartman, good thing you noticed, even though i did i figured there wasnt a difference bc ive never heard anybodyelse say anything about it. anyways im gonna call them up and see what they say.

I hope the guys at the Zone got you fixed up. I love that store, but i guess i have to. My dad has been with them for 20 years, Back when they were Autoshack. From what he tells me, they strive on something called Wittgtjdr or something. (what it takes to get the job done right) And unlike other autostores... cough Advance cough the customer is always more important than the sale.
Ever notice that the Advance stores look alot like Autozone stores. Even down to the race pinstripping

Autozone is a great store except when it comes down to that kind of accessories. They seem to have their selection of stuff but always seem to never have the right kind of stuff in stock, etc. I think they need to place company books on each isle (like Murray's does) to where you can look up your part number and if it isn't in stock order it because AutoZone's lines get REALLLL LONGGG.

The Autozone near me has pretty good service. Most of the guys have limited english though. I was looking for paint for my grille one time and they seemed to have everything I needed.

It seems to be the reverse around here. We go to Advance all the time and are pretty much on a first name basis with most of the people there, and every time I walk into the store people flock over and ask if they can help with anything, and they're always more than happy to look up a part and show you where it is.

Then at AutoZone however, I walk in and nobody even looks at me, and I linger around for a long time and nobody comes over or gets out from behind the counter, they just sit and talk to each other. The only time they do anything is whenever I take my stuff to the counter to pay for it. If I want help I just about have to nag them to get it.
