dana 44 hub removal

Hey, I just finished bolting my dana 44 solid axle onto my 86 F150, and I was going to replace the front brakes today, but I cant get the manual hubs to come off. Is there a trick to removing these? They dont just slide off like the explorer hubs. Do I need to remove the end cap on the hub and use a spindle nut socket or what?

After you remove the end cap their is a ring that must be removed and it's hard to see. Then the whole hub assembly will come off when the jub nut is removed .
