what else can go wrong

well to start, i have been trying to take my fuel filter out. tried last night, got one line off (tank to filter) but the other one gave me problems. ended up braking the metal disconnect tool somehow. went to Autozone today and swapped it out for the plastic still cant get it off.

so i said F it and went to put the truck back down on the ground to go get another disconnect tool set they had there and noticed that the truck was sitting WAY higher than usual. so i got to looking around and saw that my shock (pass side) was bent and did not lower itself which was messing with the UCA, ect as well.. the driver side looked fine and lowered it self. i was frustrated at this point so i just grabbed the camera and snapped some pics (which aren't the best haha) cause i didnt want to deal with it right then plus i was freezing.

looks like i get to put some new shocks on the Ex., as if this fuel filter has not been a PITA itself already. -yay-.. i cant complain too much tho, shocks have 201k on 'em.

pics for the hell of it.

I'd say you need some new tires too...they are lookin' a mite thin...

yep. just waitin' on uncle sam. makes for a fun ride in the snow in the meantime. :)

You should;
change that fuel filter
change those shocks
grease that front end
get new tires
align the front end
Pray the tires last until Uncle sam comes thru.
Good luck, happy new year

already mentioned.
waiting for the tires to do it.
oh im prayin'.
thank you, and the same to you.

and i finally got the truck to sit back down. new shocks this weekend.

I tried for a couple of days to get my fuel filter off. It has about 157,000 miles on it, and the original filter. I couldn't get it to budge, even with the good scissor type metal tool. So I left the filter on there. After about 3 weeks, I decided that it would be changed. I cut the ends of the old filter, right at the filter itself, and put a new filter on with rubber fuel injection hose. Works like a charm.

i might have to go the route you did. im gonna give it a few more go's and try the other disconnect tools they had available. if they dont work, to cutting i go.

and thanks for the title change whoever LoL. made me chuckle when i saw it. make my poor old Ex sound like a junker haha. its reliable and got a strong engine still atleast :P and No major problems have occurred thus far.

here goes the count down to the ball drop........... happy new year everyone.

Ok, i have a quick question.

when replacing my shocks today, i was having problems getting the bottom bolts off and while trying i ended up doing this

Is this going to cause any problems? maybe end up ripping the boot? i tried to pop it back out and cant. should i just poke a hole in it and "try" to pop it back out and just put some silicone on it to seal it? or should i just leave it be?

Dont touch it, it will be fine by the time you drive around the block

edit.... nevermind.
