well, we didn't air down the tires at all, so that probably didn't help but we ran it out on the "testing grounds" where I take my Explorer most of the time. Lots of off camber hill climbs, whoops, rocks.
My review is that it's definitely a good out of the box wheeler, but no matter how you cut it open diffs with sway bars attached really hinder your abilities. We did manage to run it up a pretty impressive climb that was quite rutted out and the scent of burning Goodyear Wrangler RTS was quite evident. It flexed very minimal and lifted a tire a lot. Again, I'm sure with sway bars disconnected it would be a different story.
I only took the wheel for a bit (I lost my rights) and ran it along a ridgeline. I noticed the front end REALLY dives on the slightest touching of the brakes, especially in the whoops. I think I was clipping along over 40 and I realized really quick that a basic safety belt doesn't keep you in the seat nearly like my 5 points. The rear was really jumping around and I have video at one point where I get double bucked bringing the rear tires in the air and shortly after the front wheel smacked a rock pretty good. I managed to pacman a rim and cut 2 holes on the sidewall of the tire. Gonna have to report that one as a rock fell out of a landscape truck on the freeway.
I respect the truck though, a Rubicon with lockers and auto disconnect sway bar would have walked up all of this. A guy with experience wheeling can get that truck through quite a bit.
