Anyone know where the daytime driving light module is located on a 02 Eddie Bauer. This is a Canadian vehicle. Mine is intermittent and would like to find it to troubleshoot to repair or replace.

Found this info:

on the 2002 Ford Explorer 4 door, the daytime running lights (DRL)

relay is in the power distribution box in the engine compartment

located in location # 51, There is also a 10 amp fuse for the DRL in the

power distribution box in location # 14 and a 5 amp fuse in the fuse

panel located under the instrument panel on the driver's side in

location # 30"

Thanks for the info. These things have ocasionally not worked for a couple of years. Don't seem to want to work at all now. I will check out those items. Thanks again

Daytime running lights

All fuses and relay checked out O/K. Found these also identified in the manual. Does anyone know where the relay gets it's control power from?

Here you go, from my Haynes Manual:

Thanks. That will help a lot in the trouble shooting of this system. I am going to have to find a manual for this vehicle as I plan on keeping it for a while.

I recommend the Haynes Manual:

Just getting back to this problem as I have been tied up with some medical issues.
Tried to locate this DRL module again without any luck. I think I can see where the ABS unit cable goes and was thinking that I may have to go underneath the vehicle to locate this. Hoping to work on this from above but I might be out of luck. Darn cold on the floor as well as all the water dripping on me from the melting snow. I might have to break down and move my collector car out of the heated shop to work on this.
Looked for a Haynes shop manual but they seemed to have one for every car except an 02 Explorer. Can anyone give more details as to the acessability of this module. Wondering if it is on the frame behind the fog light that is hidden from above.
