Hey guys this is my first post on this forum and on any forum.
Anyways just bought a Hayden 679 from summit and it came with a dinged corner. I was wondering if this was that big of a deal since I’d rather just install it as is than to go and exchange it.

Call Summit & they'll send you a new one, no questions asked. They're a good company & they value their reputation. I have dealt with them many times in the past, never had a disappointment. Just give em a call.

It looks to me like the dent includes a joint for the bottom runner, and if it doesn't leak now, it may well later on. I'd call them... send them photos. Perhaps they will simply send a replacement without a return... unless you have a pressing need, I'd wait. I mean, if this were to fail and leave you stranded somewhere...

And actually, you would be doing them a favor by letting them know about an issue with their packing.

Alright looks like I’ll go and exchange it today. Lucky me that I live 5 mins away from their store/warehouse.

That would bad news for me. I would drop too much coin in there...
