^ Really hoping the 72mm length for the B,C, and D mounts is correct. Seems about 1" short after looking at Rebel's specs. Measure?

I thought that was the stock size according to the link you posted directing to ford parts giant. Midnights measurements were what was listed on the instructions to his body lift-I thought. is the thought it's better to be bigger than smaller-like it can be as long as you want and won't interfere with anything?

The 2 that worry me about reusing shells and washers are Drivers a (below) and passengers a. The rest aren't scaly like the picture

Wow! Pics don't lie, now I know what you were saying. Structurally, I'd be more concerned about what's UNDER those mounts. May not be worth trying to reuse those shells. IIRC, someone on this forum used 1/2" galvanized pipe as an inner sleeve and used the mounts without the shells. Regarding the bolts, 72mm should be adequate length if the lower mount shells are used. Bottom mounts are internally threaded about 1/2" from the top of the stem and the threads themselves are only about 1/2" long. I should have used the shells with longer bolts, lock nuts, and large washers. STRANGE design.
Strange is an understatement.... More like Stupid..... SMH....

Installed the Prothane 6-116 kit, but couldn't get the front mounts out.

I installed a Prothane 6-116 bushing set this past weekend and the job really isn't as bad as some folks make it out to be. Key tools are a impact wrench and a torch for the bolts.

I did however have problems with the front radiator mounts and maybe someone out there can comment. No matter what I tried, I was unable to get the front mount bolts to free up and come out. Therefore, I was forced to leave the old front mounts installed and just put the nut back on and re tighten to 40 ft/lb.

Anyone else have this problem in getting the front mount bolt to come out? I had no problem with any other mounts, and my Texas truck is rust free.

You couldn't get them out because the threads on the bolts are so worn out or chewed up from so much body movement that all they will do is spin. Get 2 new bolts before you get the old ones out. You'll probably end up cutting the bolts out.

that's the majority of it right there.

Some don't have it that easy- look at my picture up a few posts and that's the reason I haven't started mines plus the time I'm anticipating it to take. Granted I still need to get together the hardware because there is no way i expect mines will be useable. More than likely I will be opening a can of worms once I start- just hope the body/cab isn't rusted to the point I need welding done too

Have the body bushing problems on a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport with only 95000 miles...anyone know of a mechanic in the Atlanta, GA area that would replace these at a resolvable cost..had a quote from a Ford dealer for $6300 (unbelievable)...thank you.

I recently replaced my badly deteriorated body mounts with Prothane brand 6116 body mount bushings. The full set of 8 was around $100 on Amazon, but I found I only needed to replace the front 3 on each side, as the rearmost ones were made of a different material and were in excellent condition.

If your truck has spent all of it's life in the Atlanta area, rust shouldn't be much of an issue. There's quite a bit of labor involved with replacing the bushings, but it's not a terribly difficult job. Any mechanic should be able to do the labor. Even if it takes him 8 hours at $100 an hour, that's only $800 in labor. Doing the job yourself would save you the $800 labor.

The Prothane bushings made a huge difference in the ride on my '01 ST and they shouldn't deteriorate like the stupid foam bushings Ford used.
