Just downloaded a diagnostics app that works with a blue tooth device you plug into the OBDII port. It's really handy.

You need to buy the PLX device to send the info to your smart phone:

I couldn't believe how easy the setup was! Had it up and running in about 5 minutes.
The one on Amazon is a little spendy but I guess similar knock-offs are available on ebay but not as reliable, from what I've read.
Anyway, just wanted to say this thing is going to be handy to have around to save those trips to the dealer to do the same thing. But mainly I bought it so keep track of transmission fluid temps.
