They are not made.... And no one will make them either.....

dont companys usually make a product if there is like 50 or 100 people interested? im not sure but i heard that from one of my friends so im not sure if they would do that. does naybody know?

if they do how would we go aboout getting them to make them?

You can bug a company all you want, but if they don't think it'll be profitable or worth putting into production, they won't do it. With that being said, most companies don't think that products made for Explorers will be profitable. You can try to change their minds, but it's like turning Richard Simmons staight, it ain't gonna happen.

yea why would a company "waste" their money making headlights for explorers, we only are the most popular SUV which happens to have terrible lights. :(

well most companies see Explorer as a vehicle that isn't often modified. While it may be the most widely purchased, it isn't widely modified, sorry but thats the way it is. I say this every single time a thread comes up about wanting diamond headlights... get on the phone, send a ton of emails, send a ton of letters... find anyone that makes diamond lights for other vehicles and flood them with contacts telling them you will buy if they make. Otherwise they won't know people want it and they won't make it.
The newer body style F-150 have something like 14 different styles of clear headlights you can purchase. Why? Because companies know that the F-150 is a hugely modified vehicle and they can justify the cost. Some companies didn't make them for the F-150 until F-150 owners got together and started contacting them saying make us something, and make it different, and I'll buy it!

they have the diamond clear projector style headlights on www.ebay.com for your truck 93-97 ranger.

I suggest that anyone who is interested in better headlights for your older Explorer should contact these guys. They currently make "Crystal Headlights" for 1992-2000 F150s, and 1993-2000 Rangers. If enough of us ask, maybe they'll do something about it.

Here's a copy of the letter I sent them;

I noticed that you carry aftermarket headlights for several Ford trucks, and was wondering if you have any plans for making a similar replacement for the 1991-1994 Ford Explorer headlights?

The original headlights on this best-selling truck are horrendous, and I know that a lot of owners would be interested in upgrading. And by “a lot”, I don’t just mean your core market who spends a great deal of time and money upgrading their vehicles. Sure, they’ll be interested, but this is something that goes beyond that.

I, for one, haven’t made any major alterations to the appearance or handling of my truck. However, if there were one thing that I could change, it would be my headlights. And most Ford Explorer owners I know agree. However, no-one has yet reached this market.

And the best part is that this vehicle’s owner demographics should fit perfectly into your core marketing plan. The people currently driving older Ford Explorers either; Get them from their parents and want to change the look. Buy them as an affordable and versatile used car but want the safety of modern lighting. Or have owned this truck for the past 10+ years and are dedicated to maintaining and updating their outward appearance.

I look forward to hearing from you and I hope that if you don’t currently have plans for this vehicle, that you may soon reconsider.
