Did Ford change the carrier in ----

Do any of you know if Ford changed the carrier on the 8.8 on the 2001 Sport Trac? I am in the process of removing the Powertrax Locker from my 1992 Explorer and installing it in the 2001 Sport Trac. I Dont know why this would be since they are all the same. I spoke w/ Powertrax and they said that someone had some problems fitting it in a 2002 Sport Trac. I think he was just having some trouble. Have any of you heard anything along these lines, or have a way of finding out? Thank you so much.
