Did they make a V8 2010 limited fully loaded 4wd?

I did a search on Craigslist in the Dallas area and didn't find any 2006-10 explorers. Wondering if they just didn't make many.

Is it worth upgrading to a 2010? I have a 2003 Limited v8 that I just love. But it has 130k miles. Would it be worth it to trade it in and get the same thing in a 2010?

Wondering if 2010 would be the year to get. Sometimes the last year is crap.

What changes were made between the 3d and 4th gen explorers? Should I keep my old one or get a 4th gen with lower miles and newer stuff?

4th gen v8 have a 6 speed transmission, they have a 4.6l 3v engine, floor shifter, and a few suspension changes.

thanks! Wonder if a dealer has a "new" one that hasn't sold..... I can only hope. The blue one with 7k miles would be perfect! Wisconsin is too far to go for a car!

i found a white one also, with power running boards, forgot where, cars.com is pretty good at finding dealer inventory.

keep an eye out, 2 yr leases are starting to come up. I bought a 2010 Mounty (Mounty's come with the AWD) with 10k on the clock. I was looking for the V8 with Class III towing. 2nd or 3rd months of looking one did pop up. Found about a dozen with 30-50k, looking only for a v8 got it down to 2-3 in my area (50mi). Slim pickings, but not as slim as the '10 ST, I only found 3 V8's in the whole country. Only thing i was missing was the Nav, RSE, Retractable running boards, . things i didnt really need.

Actually '10 would be a good year, since it was going to be phased out, they didn't tweak or modify or add stuff -imho. From an '04 V8 AWD the '10 wins hands down. Faster, stiffer frame, far better ride, plus they made it almost impossible to flip it ; the v8 3valve is sweet, 6r60 seems to be a tough trans, full frame still. Found a loaded Ex but a little high on miles, and price was a little steep.

What options are you looking for?

Looking for a limited, AWD, V8, towing package, gray leather, power everything including the roof, gray, white or blue exterior, loaded, under 30k miles.

I really like my 2003 limited and I just have not found another car that I'd prefer. I've heard good things about the 4th generation explorer and was sad to see them change it into a SUV. Was hoping they'd keep it around till mine gave up the ghost.

Looking at expeditions too, but am pretty sure I won't like the "biggness".

How about a Mounty? In all the searching only thing i found where the 4wd no AWD thats why i went with the Mounty, AWD is std, v8 a little more common.I did see a super loaded limited in Mi, V8, 20" rims but 4wd. Good luck in your search.

Super loaded low miles with larger rims is perfect. Montys are fine.

I don't see a big difference between AWD and 4wd. If my 4WD slips, it automatically goes into 4WD...which is kinda like AWD. So, I kind of like 4WD where I can put it in 4W, or have it automatically go into 4W if the rear wheels slip.
