Well I was looking over on summitracing.com for bulbs and they have 2 sets of the "hyper white bulbs"

40/60

and 80/100

Whats the differences in wattages and what do they do to the color beam?

Higher wattage just makes them brighter. It shouldnt change the color any. Usually the higher wattage bulbs burn out about three times as fast as the standard bulbs.
I stoped useing them cause its such a pain to change them.

I tried higher wattage bubs in my 99 mountaineer and it burnt up headlight bulb socket, so I would advise against the higher wattage.

well i have the upgraded wiring harness and always used higher wattage bulbs in it for about a year now and its all good. Just never really knew what the difference is.

I am thinking to switching to maybe some low wattage hyper white bulbs or something because the top of my diamond cut houses are turning brown from the bulb being so hot eek
