Different 1997 - 4.0ltr OHV engine types?

Hey there
I was wondering if anyone might know this - I took my 97 - 4.0 litre Over head valve engine block to the mechanics today to get the camshaft bearings replaced and the mechanic seems to think there are 2 types of 97 motors. Now I realise there's the OHV and the SOHC or maybe there's a difference between Manual and automatics? Any help would be great, cheers

I believe the manual and automatic have different cam shafts but the bearings should be the same
