Differential bearing replacement

Anyone out there replaced the rear differential pinion and carrier bearings themself ? I think the gears are fine but the pinion bearing sounds noisy with my stethoscope.I ordered a bearing kit from Jaws Gear. Any tips would be appreciated as this is going to be next weekends project. Thanks

I've done a complete rebuild on the 8.8 in my tbird when I changed the gears in it. The bearings aren't that bad to do if you have a press to take off and install the inside bearing on the pinion gear, and on the sides of the carrier. As well, be sure to set the gears up properly.
