Ok, so you've all convinced me that me X will do what I want it to do better with a diff swap. (Slightly oversized tires (31x9.50), better accelleration, gas mileage, etc.) I'm looking into a posi-lock diff for my front and rear to bring it to 4.10:1 or around there. Which have you used and recommend? How hard of a job is this? Do I have to remove the axles (either front or rear) to do the swap? How about gear oil - upgrade or stock weights?

The best advice I can give you is to use the search feature, the answers to all your question are in the previous threads of this site.

After some research, it was obvious to me that swapping rings and pinions is much more expensive than swapping axles. Go find some 4.10 axles, buy rebuild kits, add a locker or a limited slip (if you want) and then swap the entire axle(s).
