digital message center mod question for the experts

Will a 95 message center work in a 98 appropriately? Should I wait to find another one? I am mostly concerned about the MPG accuracy.
 






Ask BIG COUNTRY he is the only one I can remember off hand that has done this. You've probably seen this but here it is
