Digital odometer test mode?

I've seen many recent ford vehicles with a built in Test mode in the digital odometers, including a trouble code display, digital tachometer readings, speed, and other information. I've found the procedure for mustangs F-150's and focuii on the web, but the same procedure doesn't work on my explorer.

Anyone know how to do this?

True, may not have. But I bet it does. The focus, mustang, and F-150 definitely have it. And some people on e-bay are selling the 'secret' of how to access it for virtually every ford vehicle on the market.
Anyone with a shop manual or the CD should be able to find the procedure easily. I can run a similar self test diagnostic on my 92 ford taurus' Electronic climate control system.

There is a way to do this on 99 and up fords with the digital odometers. I have it at home, If your still interested send me a PM with your email addy.

I have tried it and it does work.

It's emptied now. If someone wants to post it up, go for it. I just don't have the time to sit there and upload all the pics that go with it to an online host, and then piece it all together on here with the right pics to the right steps.

I have tried this on my 02 limited and it does not work. Maybe it doesn't work on message center displays.

Thanks, worked on my 02 XLT although the displays are not the same.
