Just wondering if anybody else keeps good track of their milage. When I had the 91 I kept a calculator in the truck, and would always figure it out, but never recorded it. Then when I got the 97, I bought a small notebook and have been recording the avg. MPG since the day I bought it...Just wondering what everybody else does....:)

Sometimes, but like the poll says I keep it in my head :D

I usually look at the odometer and then the gallons I put in on the fill up. Pretty simple to do in your head

I keep track of mileage.. but not for mpg purposes. I just want to see how many miles I'm driving (or not driving) this semester.

MPGs aren't too important when you get gas once a month. :D

definitely not- i don't want to know

No, I really would rather not know what kind of mileage I get.

I keep a notebook with gas prices and to figure out my miles per gallon:D

Everytime, my GF always laughs at me whenever I pull the calculator out.:D

I voted sometimes, only because there is not a poll for i dont give a crap. :D Im kinda like section525 i dont get gas very often.

Well, my gas gauge quit working ohhh, about the day i bought the explorer, so I know I can go typically 250 miles on a tank, but I like to know what milage Im getting... I dont check everytime, only when I do a full tank (maybe once a month) rather than the ole $10 here, $5 there... Usually gettin 16ish, maybe a lil higher.

Just for laughs since the mileage seemed to suck so bad compared to Jeep Cherokee.

Yep. Religeously. Mine and my wife's truck. I keep it in excel together with maintenance reminders and cost of each repair and add on accessories. I am way too organized. :D

the console computer keeps track of it.....i'm getting roughly 17 MPG mostly freeway driving

I record the milage on the gas receipt everytime I fill up. The I can input all the data on my comp, and make all sorts of graphs and charts.:D

Geek Alert! lol

I like that graph idea...

I religiously keep records:

odo/trip/gal/mpg/date/cost/gallon

oil changes/service/new tires/etc

I have every record for every car i've driven

(which is around 10 now ~ i'm 21)

Dad and I had a mock father son used car biz in high school :D

does this ans your question?

EVERY tank since i bought it!

I keep track of mine with an Excel spreadsheet on my PocketPC. However I'd also vote for option 3. . .I don't really want to know. . .its just nice for maintanence sake to see what improves mpg and what doesn't. And well, everything I've done so far is in the doesn't category :D j/k

yeah mine transfers to my palm too. i track it for many reasons, and i learn what helps and what doesnt....ie shell gas helps, BP/Amoco doesnt.

Yes religiously and then I record it in excel and produce a graph. This will tell me the effects of mods and services and if anything is going wrong. Here is a chart over 10,000 miles.
