I used to. It was sluggish. 4:10 or 4:56 would be ideal for 33s.

Same set up here. Definitely sluggish. I am going up to 4.56's when I get the $$$$

I'm on 33's with 4.56's and it's just about right. Don't know how much my tires weigh, but they ain't light!!

I'm on 33"x12.5"x15's with 4:56, and it is fine.

with 4:10s will i get the same acceleration as i had with the stock tire size?

im running 3.55 with 33's and ive had no issues, ive got the 4.0sohc and it rips thorugh any mud ive come across

SOHC is a BIG difference from the OHV in power....3.55's and 33's on a OHV motor would suck...

would getting a chip and better exhaust help me with power?

Some, but not enough...Gears are the best fix.

how would having 33s with 3:55 be on the highway?

Sluggish...You would have problems accelerating to pass people, and on just about any uphill you would have to hammer it. Fuel mileage would go down the tubes.

so will it jus have slow acceleration if I dont get new gears?

Slow acceleration, poor gas mileage, harder on the engine and transmission. If you have an auto, you will shorten the life of the transmission significantly.

3.55 with 33s will not be fun to drive on the highway.. As mentioned by Jdraper it will be hard on the engine, transmission etc.. Every hill will feel as if you must floor the gas pedal to maintain speed.. Explorers with tow packages come with 4.10s.. With 33s I would go with 4.56s, 4.10s are fine with 33s, but 4.56s will give you alot more low end power and will be fine if you get bigger tires later down the road.. Regearing is expensive so you want to get it right the 1st time..

how much do you think it would cost for 4:11s installed

With install kits, locker installs, labor, gears and everything I think I sunk around 750-1000 for full gear setup, and going through brakes, bearings ect.
