Doesn't want to go in drive.

I have to give it gas a couple times and get the rpm to bout 16 before it wil go anywhere what do i need to do please help

it only do it in drive or does it do it in any gear check and fill the fluid

just changed the fluid and filter and yes only does it when i put in drive what else could it be

How many miles does it have? It might have an internal valve body problem.
