What do you mean is has a "grip type surface"? Do you mean the finish is too rough, or it's too sticky, or not stick enough?

It's like a giant roofing shingle.Oh and the stuff is called weather watch.

hey dave- my rear wiper rattled too, all I did was take some black electrical tape and the the sucker down...I just can't use it anymore but I never did anyways, i also taped the rear door knob too, i'll get some pics up later so you know what I'm talking about, it works great!!

How much of the Mastic do you think would be needed if I got two 12" subs? They come in 32"x54" sheets, so I wondered how much I would need to stop rattles. I am trying to get me some MTX Thunder6000's, two 12's in a box, and the 6.5 sub thats back there now rattles enough. Thanks,

I used Dynomat Xtreme everywhere (floor, roof, doors, hood, and side pannels) and it is awesome! Sometime I wonder if the truck is running or not. I have a real job at Edward Jones but I work at Best Buy part time for the discount on items like this. Check out the pics.

I get to purchase items at 5% above cost. On some items it is really awesome. Others not a big deal. The dynamat drops to $11 for a 4 square foot roll of Dynamat Extreme, retail 39.99.

98grey....Don't waste your time and money...do the whole thing...especially the rear quarters and hatch door.

okay, so anyone know how many square feet of dynamat are needed to do the whole thing? rear quarters, hatch door, all 4 doors... how does 36 square feet sound? too much? too little?

i don't think i'm going to do floor or roof, though.

blue flair... are you offering to hook up some of us that need dynamat?

I do not know about the dynamatt. I carry the Stinger Road kill at work. I used 1 can on each outer door skin. I was able to use one 18 squre feet piece to do the inner skin on two doors. The floor took 3 sheet of there carpet pad. I used 3 sheets on the ceiling. This was just one layer.
I did have some left over from the sheets and I used that do do the seems on the carpet pad.
I just finished a 97 Durango for sound Damping. The guys bill came to $1000 parts and labor. Did doors, ceiling and floor.

brian,

so 36 square feet just for the doors?

sheesh, that's more than i thought i would need. i thought 36 square feet would be enough for the doors, rear panels and rear hatch.

You have to remember that when you cut out the door pieces you will have left over material. This left over can be used for other areas of the truck. I just like to use 1 big piece if I can. I have seen guy to a patch work of small pieces to use up every last bit because it is expensive.

okay... just bought 36 square feet of dynamat xtreme off ebay for $105. hopefully it'll be enough. hey, if i have extra, maybe that will motivate me to do the floor and ceiling.
