I'm brand new to this forum, have had 92,94 and finally a 96 XLT, liked all of them and this one is 1000 miles shy of 200,000 miles. Only basic maintenance all the way except for radiator wiped out by grasshopper attack.
Recently the "door ajar" light came on and stays on. Checked all the doors, they all work. Also the rear wiper stopped working (don't know if that's connected to "door ajar").
Also dome lights stayed on so I pulled them out. Also automatic door lock doesn't work anymore.
Is this an old Explorer issue or is it something that can be fixed?
Looking forward to help anyone else with the limited but pretty good knowledge of Explorers, especially older parts.
Any suggestions on above problems appreciated.
