Door ajar light off and on

I was just wonderin where the sensor is located for this light. I was told its in the door latch itself. I have a 03 X with a 4.0 and some days the door ajar light is on and some days its off. Slammed all the doors when the light is on and it stays on. Just looking for some info on this, its annoying more than anything. Thanks for any info.

Never guess what it was?

I tried the wd-40 trick but the light stayed on, then I noticed a little ice build up in between the handle and the door. I chiseled it out with my finger nail and it went out. Makes sense to me now, the snow melts, runs into the handle and freezes and the light comes on. Live and learn, thanks for your info tho.
