IIRC, it is on the inside of the left rear quarter panel where the jack equipment is located. It is printed on a sticker, BUT, it is positioned on the wheel well in such a way that it requires an extendable dentist's mirror to see it. One of those mirror thingys on a stick. There is a u-toob video on it. I'd search there.

Yes. It's on a cream colored box in the front part of the jack compartment. The 5 digit code is on a white sticker on the center of the box and is printed in large numbers. Sometimes it can be read w/out a mirror, but a good LED flash lite is a big help. Once you have the OE code, you can set your own secondary code (the OE code can not be replaced) the owner's manual will tell you how to do it, along with some other things that can be done with the door buttons (like turn AutoLock on/off and how to open all the door using the 3/4 button after the code is entered and the driver's door is unlocked).

Before trying to read the code off the box, look in the owner's manual case. There may be a white plastic card with the OE door code on it. Several of my trucks had this card in the owner's manual case when the previous owners said didn't even know the code.

X3, When we bought our 99 Sport it did not have the code for the touch pad & I found it on the module inside the l/s rear panel where the jack & the handle are stowed.

Thank you for the info. I will look tonight!

Cliff.
