'02 XLS....My driver side door lock is not unlocking after my XLS sits over night when using the remote key fob. Temps. are in the 40's so its not frozen. I can unlock it just fine using the key. And it is not locking when using the key fob sometimes. All other locks work fine with the remote. Thinking about spraying some WD-40 in the latch. Any other concerns fellas?

Thx, 02 XLS :us: :salute:

How does the lock respond when using the manual buttons, from the driver's side and its own button?

lock responds fine manually.....

change the battery in the remote

WD40 is good to start, but after it dries it will gum it up even more, what you need is WD40, can of compressed air, and a can of Silicon spray lubricant, all 3 can be had at Home Depot, the Silicon is pricey at about $8 a can, but it's well worth it. spray WD40, followed shortly after by the compressed air, then the silicon spray to finish it off. My wife's PDL's started acting up about 2 years ago and I did a search somewhere and found this method, it works perfect, I do it every 5K miles and have never had another problem.....
