Its my buddies EX, 1999, and had the back child locks engaged. One day during the winter the back exterior door handle snapped off so I have no way of opening it from either side.

Have any of you had this problem or have any ideas on how to get this door open?

Anyone have an idea?

Maybe a Slim Jim, but I honestly have no other idea.

Its a pain, but the answer is pull the inside door pannel off then grab the operating rod with a pair of vicegrips and push down like the handle would normally move. The pannel is held on by a pair of screws near the inside handle with a bunch of pushpins around the door edges. I know its been addressed before here - do a search for rear doors.
