My ex started running like crap this morning. Felt like it was missing and lagged real bad under load. I found the hose/tube leading from the exhaust to the bottom of my dpfe sensor was dried out and cracked. The exhaust was blowing out of the crack instead of into the sensor.

My question is since I can not seem to find a specific replacement part can I use a thick walled rubber vacume line or fuel line to replace this tube? My fear is the heat from the exhaust drying out the hose prematurely.

You could use ordinary rubber hose.

Use silicone fuel-oil-emission hose. You should be able to find it at an auto parts store-
Regular rubber will melt.

I used standard heater hose. Cut it to length.

Thank you BB, JTS Aldive and Jason! I bought 2' of 5/16 fuel hose and some clamps. Seems to be working although I think my egr may have suffered a little in the time this hose was leaking. It runs ok most of the time. Every now and again it sputters a little. Checked codes and got a egr code.

On a side note I also had to change a water pump in my Dad's car(91 olds cutlass ciera s) today. Easiest water pump change I've ever done! I highly recomend if your water pump goes out to just replace your vehicle with the 91 cutty!

i just changed my dpfe and the hose, the hsoe i dound that i used was vacuum/egr hose, it actually says it on the hose, i got it at autozone
