Draining the transfer case.

hi guys I'm going to drain my transfer case and i want to know how much fluid. I looked it un and it says 1.5 pints that seams low considered the size. This is my last time of recoating it before i deside to just pull the front drive shaft and or transfer case until i get a new unit. Anyone with old use air shocks .

Well my first aid kit came for my transfer case,I'm surprised no one has responded has all the old heads left the fourm. Fall is here is vegas but very windy. I'm going to post the photos of the permatex package they changed it. If anyone is interested in fixing a metal container this stuf is gas proof.

I TRYED for 2 days to compleatly drain my transfer case .it must be oil free can't be done. Ithave the nose in the air on ramps the oil won't drain below the drain plug. I tried to put a syfon hose the 1/2 size of a straw and it won't goin the open plugs. The chain and gear take up all the space. I forgot from my welding day but magnesium isn't forgiving. Or I drill and tap the bottom of the case and plug it. It's so fractured with cracks. The nose cone looks like an egg. So today I started triming the fenders 1 inch to clear those big tires. They don't rub unless I bottom the van out in a pot hole. I cut the drivers side and I thought I was doing good. I trimmed 1 inch and when I went to remove it. It was fasten to the inner fender wells withsheet metal screws. I'm going to try to get the screws off with out removing the tire.i bought 1/2 tubing and got out the dremil and cut a line down the tube. I'm going to shape the tube around a tire and then fasten it to the cut fender to give it a finish look. I need a transfer case except for the drive shafts it looks like 4/6 bolts on the tail shaft of the tranny were they connect. I don't know why I'm doing this I love the aero bomber but I still didn't get my DL back from the dmv because of my medical condition. I had plans drawned up to turn her into a Westfield . Poptop and everything. I even solved the bed issue and now can place a 3 1/2 wide 6 foot long bed with wise even thought with is only 5 feet.
