Drilling the airbox on a 97-later

i need to know exactly what to do, and how much the replacement parts will cost when i return my lease? size of holes, exactly where to drill them, etc.

If I were you I would get the KKM and then when you return the lease you can just put your old airbox back on. Instead of drilling and then having to buy a new factory airbox.

I second that, if it is a lease get the KKM kit, even though it will cost a little more now, you can put it on your new ride or sell it. If it is a '97, when you turn it in for a new Explorer you can put it on that one. Either way you come out cheaper that drilling/replacing.

I agree, go with the KKM, save a lot of time and money in the long run.

But, if you wanna still drill/cut the box...there's no exact science to it! Do a search on drilling and you can see what others have done. There is a pretty recent thread about it...I'd go with the KKM or K&N FIPK though!
