drivers door lock problem

sometimes when i use either the remote entry or keypad, the drivers door won't unlock but the rest will when you hit the unlock button twice, as you know. why does it not pop up? also i noticed that the light should come on if you lift the door handle when it's locked. when the lock is not popping, the light won't come on. any suggestions?
