I have a 2001 sport and yesterday the door ajar light, dome light, and beeping started going off with all the doors closed. Then today the door became difficult to open, and could only be opened from the outside of the car. Naturally I decided to toy around with the door latch to see if I could get the light to turn off and get a feel for how it worked. In doing so I have created a new problem, the top part of the latch won't go back to the position it should be in when the door is open. Currently the car is in a parking garage with the door tied shut with rope, any help with getting the latch to the right position would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
