91-96 did I don't know about 97.5 but I could be wrong. 96 also had a double cardan on one and but 96.5 ish had a flange on the CV side. I had that issue with a member on here actually.
Somthing tells me if your going through that many your buying them used or a crappy reman? Or is your truck lifted?
well maybe it didn't go to 97.5, I don't know. I just know the 2nd Gens did have 'em, so I know it's not the double-cardan itself causing the problems.
and I got low-mile shafts from the junkyard; inspected them; filled them with grease.
after a couple, I realized I should have went with a remanu'ed one, but it was too late for that. Then the next couple I got for cheap to free.
I just don't want to fight with the POS CV's anymore.
I want one that's actually serviceable.
Which is why I'm fighting with the one I had made.
Nothing will change my mind into buying another POS GKN cv-style shaft.
