Drivetrain whine on 2008 Mountaineer

I have a 2008 Mountaineer V8 AWD. IT has 15,100 miles on it, and has developed a drivetrain whine, which SOUNDS as if it's coming from the left front. This only happens between 20 and 25 MPH. Our area has a LOT of 25MPH speed limits, and the cops have no tolerance for exceeding the 25! The Ford garage tells me "There's no problem," but it is getting worse and more noticeable. I have very little confidence if that particular dealership, as they have made some very stupid mistakes on a simple state vehicle inspection.

Any suspicions? It is still under factory warranty. Thanks, In Advance.
