Dual Exhaust

Hi there,

Does anyone know of an exhaust system with dual rear exit for a 98 explorer sport with the 4.0? Ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find one.
Any help would be great.

It's a tight fit, but it can be done. Get a dual in/dual out muffler and find a skilled exhaust shop to bend the pipes for you. The major stumbling block is the spare tire which makes it a tight fit. Some people do it by getting rid of the spare.

I'm sure "Sam" will tell you about his soon.

There are no "kits" that I know of. The custom nature of this project can make it costly.

I would suggest against it. I have duals and the back pressure loss is annoying. You're truck will sound fast, and be slow. if you're doing it for looks, then go for it, but if you're trying to improve performance, then i would look at the thread that is stickied at the top, and go for a dual in single 2.5 out.
