Putting the fan in front of the radiator spreads the bugs out more evenly (that's a joke, son, pay attention).
Putting a fan where it blows against the condenser and radiator probably won't gain you anything. Where the factory mounted it makes more sense.

MY bad ....I didn't mean in front of the radiator, what I meant to say (and failed miserably), is to install it ahead of the factory fan...mounted to the radiator itself and on a thermostat....that way it is not using any pully power to get the fan going.....I apologize for the poor initial information....

You can read all about it here in the forum, there have been several threads about it

It sounds good if you can find a blower that fits and delivers the same volume and velocity of air.
Sorry about the joke, the devil made me do it......Ray S. in PA

i've yet to find a fan i like that fits, but im going to the local pull and pay to check around today. if you search around the forum you'll find what fans they recomend, but the other project in the back of my mind is to use the oem fan with out a clutch and adapt it to an electric motor. i think i can get it fit without any clearance issues if im creative.

I've "searched" the forums but I haven't found one that states " this fan fits with no modifications and pushes the correct cfm"....If you find one that works let us know.

I believe that fan is to thick for a V8. (4 3/16 deep)

the lincoln mark 8 fans are apperantly "all-the-rage". i found one in an unrecognizable 1995 today, it must have spun out or something because the only thing that made me say "hey, thats it!" was the interior panels strew about it. i couldnt get any info on caddilac fans since they were either gone, or simply a dual fan set that bolts in individually.
