Yes I understand that, I also believe that with my new setup and even bigger engine dual electrics would work fine.
Crawling in low range = low to high rpm's constantly, but the kicker is a very heavy load on the drivetrain. Now mine would cool fine, until I hit a hill, loose gravel, get stuck and rock it, etc. But once it would climb past 215 it was all over....just keep climbing.
The numbers dont add up I understand, I mean the good electric fan pulls way more CFM then you should ever need. Something about the plastic side tank 2 core HD raditor unit? the ford grill? Inature of the OHV? dunno. I never did figure it out, I was even a 5 speed and ran a 180 thermo with a 10" fan mounted up front as a pusher to help, still NO beuno. Sucked too because I loved the feel of no mech fan on the engine. I tried the same setup again when I went to an auto with a new radiator and large trans cooler, still same thing.
Many others on this forum experienced the same thing, including Rick.
I kept the fans, I will use them on something (maybe my 5.0L?) would be fun to try. My coolant temp does not move now with the Ron Davis rad.
