I heard some areas have E85 cheap. I have only ran it twice since its only about $0.20 cheaper here, and the gas mileage is less. How much is it in your area?

Its only sold at one station in New England, and its down in Chelsea which is right outside Boston, MA so I never venture down that way. Seems like they need more stations here in the northeast. There are tons of vehicles around here that can use E85, but there is one station between 6 states. :dunno:

Thats the problem. Manufacturers are being rewarded for producing these vehicles and statistics show them to be more benificial for the environment but there is only a small percentage of consumers that actually run E85 because its lack of availability.

I've never seen an E85 station. Yet there's Ford's and Chevy's running around boasting E85 badges.

According to http://e85prices.com/ , local prices here are...

$2.19, with 85 octane being $2.54, qouted on 4-07 from Western

$2.39, with 85 octane being $2.65, qouted on 4-06 from Poudre Valley Coop

There isn't any E-85 to be had anywhere around the Phoenix area:(

none around here either, even in bigger cities like pittsburgh i havent seen it, what use are these E85 vehicle if u can get E85 around here anyway lol?

There are a few in Pittsburgh, I know that a few Sheetz stores are starting to sell it. In fact in Dec. there were I think 3 of them in Pittsburgh that sold it for .85 cents a gallon for several hours as a promo.

I could see it being expanded into the new Sheetz then. Wonder if the mega-Sheetz in Altoona has it?

Where are you from?

I haven't seen any around here (Sacramento area) but I haven't really been looking for it. Its not obvious, if they do have it around here.

You can search for an E85 station at this website:

I found two, but they aren't very practical cause I no longer have a valid security clearance.

There are a few by me, just filled up for $2.63/gal, better then $2.83, but the e85 get lower mpg, supposedly.

No E85 stations around here, anywhere. There are plans to put an E85 refining plant in downtown Buffalo, but environmental groups, neighborhood watch groups, etc. are opposing it, so it looks like that's not going to happen (like everything else in Buffalo :thumbdwn: )

My dad just got an 07 Avalanche and he tried E85. He said it was 10-15 cents cheaper a gallon, but he got 1-3mpg worse fuel mileage with it. Strange.

Either way, if E85 catches on, the prices will rise to meet the demand, just like regular gas. That's my opinion anyway.
