easyest/cheapest way for more power/speed

I have a 97 X 5.0 awd, adn I was wondering the easyest/ cheapest way to get more power and speed out of my X. I don't have much of a budget, but I can do my own wrenching. Any Ideas would be great.....One thing I have thought of is getting rid if the belt driven fan in place of and electric.

Intake and exhaust are cheap easy things to do. If you're thinking of big projects, supercharge it!!

I would love to supercharge it, but I don;t have the cash for a charger not to mention that it has 152,000 miles on it.....I don't know how well it would like having a charger put on

Intake, exhaust, and tuner. Im thinking of the electric fan myself too. I want to see what others are doing with the Mark VIII fan first.

You may want to think about putting Torque Monster headers on. My truck is a 96 and with 150,000miles the original manifolds were split in half, held together with the metal wrapping. They are a little pricey but worth it for the extra power punch and if the manifolds are crap anyway

Torque monster headers first, cold air intake second (mac or I can't remember the other one) cat back exhaust next and an sct x-cal 3 from www.hensonperformance.com (a site sponsor and a great guy to do business with.)
