I have a 2002 Ranger, and I have an FX4 console, same as the half console that came in most of the Explorers. As most of those have, my arm rest broke at the hinge. Since it is black, and I could not find any replacments, I bought a kit off eBay.
It looks like it will work good, but there is a latch with a release lever that catches when the arm rest goes all the way down. The only problem is the release lever mounts inside the arm rest, where you can't get to it.
Just wondering if anyone has used this kit, and if so, am I missing something. I tried flipping it over so that the lever would be under the console, but that won't work at all.
