ecu temp sender ect

Hi All

wonder if anybody knows
part number
8E5A 12A648AA is this the sender unit for the ECU or the one for temp guage on the dash.
recently suplied by FORD at Ashton Under Lyne.
but they were not even sure.

I can't help you specifically but i believe it is the ecu temp sensor. The grey one i think.
If you do a search of the whole forum for t stat housing it may yield the (US)part numbers, which is what the number you have is. The earlier senders are screw in and the later ones are push fit with clip IIRC
What are you needing as i may have a spare

That part number is a Ford WERS part number. Unfortunately I no longer work on any of the systems that can identify it.

Looks like it has FINIS code 5072891 if it helps identify it.

the part i need janolsson is the thermostat for the engine management (ecu) as they are two seperate items

A FINIS code (7 numbers) is the code that Ford dealers use to order parts by.

WERS codes are the engineering codes used for manufacture (with a format of prefix-base-suffix, a mixture of letters and numbers).

A FINIS code could equate to several compatible WERS parts.
