I'm getting a super 40 flowmaster 2.5' in and out with custom bent pipes soon and was wondering how you guys thought this tip looked (Inlet: 2-1/2'' Body: Angle Cut Round, Chrome) and if it would work if I ended up getting clamped couldn't get it welded on?

I just want something that doesn't look ricey and matches the bumper ;)

Where are you having your exhaust exit? Straight back or out the side behind the tire? It's not a bad looking tip, but others may look better depending on application.

I haven't completey decided yet, but I was thinking of just having it exit like the stock out the back on an angle.

I found some nice Dynomax dual out tips with 2 1/2" inlet.. Kind of pricey at around $90, but stainless steel and I think it would look sweet on an X. I was considering get that and sweeping it out the side like the Gibson dual sport. I had a Pilot, I believe, tip which was around $35 with a 2 1/2" inlet and dual 3" outlets....can find them at http://www.autobarn.com which you might want to look at...It could be done tastefully and give a lower rumble to your exhaust (I had mine on a 2 1/2" straight pipe on my old X).

Nah $90 is more than I spent on the muffler and I want a single out :(

The price turned me off to the idea too. If that's the one you want, go for it. It should look good as long as you don't put a coffee can on the back
