My 2000 4.0 OHV has a leak in the EGR Valve Tube, it has been welded once, so repair is probably not a good option. I had a garage look at it, they are recommending replacing the LH Manifold, the tube, the EGR Valve, because everything is so fused together. One manifold stud is broken, they fear the others are likely problems. Worst case, depending on the other studs, this will cost around $1000!
Any other options? The leak and noise are not that bad now, but I'm sure it is only a matter of time until the tube breaks. This does not sound like a promising diy job.

Yes, I could save $$$ with salvage yards. What I am hoping is a way to avoid removing the manifold. If there is at least one broken stud, and the risk of more, this ends up being either a miserable do-it-yourself project, or expensive if I take to a shop. I've done some searching on this forum, several have had success with unscrewing the tube from the manifold with lots of heat and PB Blaster. That is sounding like the best way forward.
