My guess is your battery has a problem.... most likely a dead cell. However, how about swapping out the battery from this vehicle with one that you are using for the boost and see if that changes anything both for this vehicle and your other one (ie. will the other one start with this battery???)

on a lighter note i went to circuit city to day to get a new cd player put in and it started up every time for him. i got home and turned it off and it did great. drove around town still worked great. i drove 45 miles to my grand parents house for a family thing, turned it off and came back out about 20 mins later and it did it again.
