Does anyone know an area close to the battery that is on only when the car is turned on? I just need an area I can attach a positive wire into, but I only need it to turn on when the car is on :-D Thanks.

Just put a switch on it and run it directly to the batt

Pull off the lid to your fuse box and look for something like a fuel pump fuse or ignition fuse, you get the idea. Run a wire from that fuse to your switch to a relay. Then have a wire from the relay to the battery, relay to ground, and relay to what ever it is you want to power up.
Be sure to use a relay, this way you won't be drawing power from the fuel pump, or what ever you tapped into.
Then when you cut the ignition, even with the switch still in the on position, the accessory will turn off.

what are you trying to hook up? you dont want to hook it up to a small fuse that will blow or that will draw power from something you need

with a 15 amp fuse already on it, you can almost hook it to anything. there are three places; straight to the battery, locate a fuse in the fuse box on the driver side fender, or to the alternator.

my fuse box is on pass fender, i cant connect it to the battery, it just stayed on, i just need it on when the truck is actually started and running.

the only other thing i can tell you is if you have a fuse box inside your driver door on your dash you can connect it there

This kind of relay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tyco-Relay-12-volt-Prewired-5-wire-Socket-Harness_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38636QQihZ004QQitemZ140218855949QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Go to Napa, advance auto, checkers, whatever, they all have them. Look in the wiring section (or ask) for a 4 prong relay. This relay will have 4 wires that you need to plug into it. One wire goes from a fuse in your fuse box (the one right next to your battery) like the fuel pump fuse to a switch to the relay. When the car is turned on the fuel pump gets power, it travels through the switch (if you have it turned on) and to the relay, this tells the relay to send power to the accessory. The second wire goes from the battery to the relay. This wire will provide all of the power you need to power this secret item of yours without stealing all of the power from the fuel pump (like you would with out a relay). Then one wire runs from the relay to your mystic item. And one wire runs from the relay to a ground point.
