i found this web cite that sells electric superchargers and i was wondering if anybody has one on their X. they are $100 @ http://www.electricchargers.com/. i know the 4.0 is a lot bigger then the honda on the dyno sheet. but i think i might work on the 1500-3500 RPM range

usually if its too good to be true, it is. you get what you pay for. personally i dont think it will do a thing to help the car, let alone 30 HP.

the weedeater mod has shown a 10 HP gain on a chassis dyno

the electric supercharger on Ebay flows NOTHING like a weedeater so

NO it doesnt work

what is the "weedeater mod" is is a leaf blower blowing in to the intake

I was trying to round up the video on the net.......

Junk!

i E-mailed the company that makes them and this is what they wrore back

We do have a supercharger for the 91' Explorer 4.0 in stock.# Extraneous
sources have tested our units in lab, and have reported information as
follows:

Air Pressure....................1.256 PSI
Air Flow..........................856 CFM
Power Consumption:.........765 Watts
Spooling Rate### :..........27500 RPM
Size............................... 4"x4"x4"

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks,

Corey Johansen

What in the F*** is "Extraneous sources"?

they are $95 with free shipping to US and $105 out of US plus shipping

Spooling Rate### :..........27500 RPM

Where is that BS flagpole icon? The damn superchargers that are real have like a 34000 rpm spool that are belt driven.

In theory, the principle could work. But it wouldn't cost $150 or so bucks, it'd be on up near $1000 for one built to last longer than 30 miinutes:thumbdwn:

And on a lighter note, those guys are morons. Inject nitrous through a leaf blower, catch a back fire and watch it explode in all their faces on the darwin awards next year

thanks for the help i think i will buy a couple weeks of gas insted

walks like a duck....quacks like a duck......

Sad thing is, you know some poor soul bought one of these things....
