Electrical problem.

Folks,
Have a 93 4x4. My daus. Had trouble starting. Batt. Went 2 Auto Zone. Wanted 2 get a batt and alt ck. Associate connected up tester. tells me to get in truck and rev it to 2000rpm and hold. Says, "Alt looks good." About 5-10 secs later, truck dies. No electrical anywhere. Gauges, dome lite - dead. Replaced batt. No help. Any ideas? Told me 2 get it out of their lot. To the tune of 75 bucks. Not their fault.

Check your battery cables. It is common for the battery cables to be corroded under the jackets where you can't see it. Best way to check is with an ohmmeter (DVM set to read ohms). Resistance should be low.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread to the stock 91-94 section. I agree that it sounds like it could be related to the battery cables. Check your ground connections for corrosion.
